A lot of people with notes for protesters (NOT LIKE THAT!) offer suggestions sure to change nothing: More marches, more signs, more making nice with those in power. They also act as if protesters hadn’t tried those things for decades without moving the needle.

Nonviolent action isn’t anyone’s first choice. Do critics want protesters to engage in violence?!
