This is exactly what we need to do. We can't coax these established parties forward. They've proven that they're not listening or perhaps they just don't fear our votes.

The Australian Greens have power because they win office. They can win office because Australia has better election structures, with instant runoff voting for the House of Reps, and multi-member proportional elections for the Senate.

Correct. I look forward to your sustained, vocal support of all the democratic reforms needed in the U.S.: Electoral college, plurality voting, gerrymandering, corporate capture, and more.

Every chance I get. I'm working on the plurality voting problem right now. Some people who represent themselves as allies in the US insist on throwing their votes away, which gives us worse results, and incentivizes worse politicians to resist mechanical reforms.

Sincere thanks for that work.

That said, some "centrists" want the votes of everyone to their left without proportional representation. That's not how it works.

Given this year's stakes, it is *beyond belief* that Dems are sticking to such dysfunctional coalition politics.
