BJG gave him at least two chances to articulate the clearly-defined rule behind U.S. military intervention. He couldn't / wouldn't. In one breath he says he recognizes the problems with using "democracy" as that rule, before launching into romantic descriptions of Ukraine's budding democracy.
Also, dude is incapable of having a good-faith conversation about countering the antiwar right, because he shuts down at the mention of canceled names.
The twist of the knife was at the end, where he gives one of those infuriating "I'm an insider, and I think you'll get what you want, just wait" lines. FOH with that gatekeeping nonsense.
