"Cornered by CNN’s Jim Acosta" is as unlikely a phrase as "Clobbered by a toddler". Perhaps Andrew Yang should step back and consider his end goal. If it's just about finding the right vehicle for his personal ambitions, then he should leave party building to others.
If he truly wants to break the duopoly, perhaps Mr. Yang should survey the current political economy; could none of the dozens of existing third parties be built into national viability? Are none of them an ideological fit for Forward Party fans? If needing a fresh start is the main reason for The Forward Party, does everyone involved (Yang included) understand that 50-state ballot access requires at least four solid years of work?
I'm all for third parties. I'm not for funneling people's longing for systems change into dead-end ventures.
